Updated: Payment Processing and Credit/Debit Card Payment Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance impacting all USPTO payment processing beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, July 27 and ending at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 27 ET.

All payment processing will be unavailable during this maintenance period.

Additionally, the USPTO's third-party Credit Card Processing Service, Pay.gov. will be performing maintenance beginning at 6 p.m., Saturday, July 27 and ending at 10 p.m., Saturday, July 27 ET.

Credit card and debit processing will be unavailable during this maintenance period.

For Patent Customers:

Please do not file ePetitions, eTerminal Disclaimers, Web 85b, or any submissions which require fee payment at time of submission, since these cannot process without successful payment. For more information about submitting payments during a payment outage, please visit https://www.uspto.gov/patents-application-process/filing-online/filing-documents-during-outage. For PTAB Customers:

If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending AIA case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End System (PTAB-E2E), you may use an alternative filing method.
