Trademark Next Generation (TMNG) System Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademark Next Generation (TMNG) systems beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday, May 12 and ending at 11:30 p.m., Saturday, May 12 ET.

The following systems will be impacted:

  • Trademark Next Generation ID Manual (TMNG-IDM) will not be available.
  • Trademark Official Gazette (TMOG) will not be available. You can access recent PDF versions of the gazette on the Trademark Official Gazette webpage. For archived PDF versions of gazettes dating back to 2001, visit the archived editions page.
  • Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)will be available with reduced functionality.
  • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)initial application forms will not be available.

Users of the above systems should save all work prior to logging off.

Fee Payment Processing System Maintenance and Credit/Debit Card Maintenance

The USPTO will be performing maintenance of the third-party card processing payment system, Pay.gov beginning at 6 p.m., Saturday, May 12 and ending at 10 p.m., Saturday, May 12 ET. All USPTO storefronts are expected to remain available. However, credit and debit card payment processing through all USPTO storefronts will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

In addition, there will be USPTO system maintenance that will cause a brief outage to Fee Payment Processing across all USPTO storefronts during the same maintenance period.

For PTAB Customers:

If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending AIA case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End System (PTAB-E2E), you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the PTAB-E2E FAQ page (https://www.uspto.gov/patents-application-process/patent-trial-and-appeal-board/ptab-e2e-frequently-asked-questions) and see A2 for information concerning your AIA petition filing and/or document filing using PTAB-E2E alternative filing methods. For Trademark Customers:

If your deadline is today and the document requiring a fee payment cannot be filed electronically, you must use an alternative method of filing. For TTAB Customers:

If your deadline is today and the document cannot be filed electronically, you must use an alternative method of filing. Please visit the TTAB Outage Page for information concerning Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) alternative filing methods. OEDIS Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Office of Enrollment and Discipline Information System (OEDIS) beginning at 11:59 p.m., Friday, May 11 and ending at 2 a.m., Saturday, May 12 ET.

OEDIS will be unavailable during the maintenance period. Additionally, Adjudicated Case Tracking System (ACTS) and Patent Trial Appeal Board End to End (PTAB E2E) will be unable to access OEDIS during the maintenance period.

Users will need to save all work and log off OEDIS by 11:59 p.m., Friday, May 11 ET and remain logged out during maintenance period.
