System status and availability

The Office of Financial Management Systems (OFMS) will conduct routine maintenance on Vendor Portal from 9-11 p.m. on Thursday, April 23. 
        
During this maintenance window, Vendor Portal will be unavailable.

The USPTO will perform a routine maintenance on the Patent Center from midnight-4 a.m. ET on Saturday, April 25.

During this maintenance period, Patent Center will be unavailable. Please Please refer to our Filing Documents during an Outage page for other alternative filing methods.

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting several systems from 12:01-9 a.m. ET, Saturday, April 25.  

The following systems and systems that interface with these systems will be unavailable during some or all of the maintenance period: 

• Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)
• Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (MPEP) and Trademark Manual od Examining Procedure (TMEP)

Payment processing for transactions originating from the following system may be momentarily interrupted during the initial minutes of this maintenance window:

• Certified Copy Center (CCC)
• Intellectual Property Assignment System (IPAS)

If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending AIA case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Tracking System (P-TACTS), you may use an alternative filing method. For Trademark Customers:

If your deadline is today and the document requiring a fee payment cannot be filed electronically, you must use an alternative method of filing. For TTAB Customers:

If your deadline is today and the document cannot be filed electronically, you must use an alternative method of filing. The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on the USPTO financial systems from 12-2 a.m. ET on Saturday, April 25 where all forms of payments (card, deposit account, electronic funds transfer) will be unavailable. Starting at 2 a.m., only card and electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments will be accepted, and deposit account payments will be unavailable until 9 a.m. ET on Saturday, April 25.

During the maintenance period, users will be unable to process deposit account fee payments for the following storefronts:

The following online financial services will be unavailable:

• Transaction statements and other Financial Manager reports
• Patent maintenance fee bulk payment submissions.
• Requests to create a new USPTO deposit account
• Requests to close a USPTO deposit account
• Requests to withdraw funds from a USPTO deposit account

If you're unable to wait to pay a fee until the maintenance has concluded, the following alternative payment method options are available:
