EFS-Web Emergency Maintenance
EFS-Web will be unavailable this afternoon starting at 4 p.m. and ending at 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 27 ET for emergency maintenance. Please check this page for updates. During the maintenance period, applicants may use Patent Center to file new applications and follow-on submissions to an existing application. EFS-Web Attach Documents and Calculate Fees issues
The USPTO is aware of the following issues with EFS-Web.
1. “Bad Gateway” error on Attach Documents page. Please use Patent Center to file your submission.
2. Fee calculation is temporarily unavailable in EFS-Web for Registered eFilers.
a. EFS-Web automated submissions that require payment cannot be processed at this time, e.g. ePetitions, eTerminal Disclaimer, PG Pub requests, Web 85b, and Third Party Preissuance Submissions. Please use Patent Center for these submissions.
b. If your submission includes fees, please use Patent Center to file your submission and make your payments.
c. Fee calculation and payment processing is working properly in EFS-Web for Unregistered eFilers, which can be used to file new applications, ePetitions to make special based on age, ePetitions to accept unintentionally delayed payment of the maintenance fee, Third Party Preissuance Submissions, and Prior Art Submission into a Patent File.
