Michigan Tech University: Innovation Day

Michigan Tech’s J. Robert Van Pelt and John and Ruanne Opie Library welcomes students, faculty, independent inventors, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to learn how innovation changes lives with the Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Learn the basics of how innovation plays a key role in our society and get a glimpse behind the scenes from the USPTO.

This program will focus on intellectual property basics and local inventor resources in the morning, and the afternoon session will cover advanced topics in patents for inventors and student projects. You are welcome to join us for the morning session, afternoon session or both. You will also have the opportunity to hear from Midwest Regional Director Damian Porcari.
