The United States Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO) Office of the Chief Economist released IP Economic Note, Issue 101 on the exports and imports by U.S. IP-intensive industries. We find that these industries accounted for nearly 80% of all commodity exports in 2019 and nearly 85% of services exports in 2017.
