Gregory Vidovich serves as Deputy Commissioner for Patents at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where he provides executive leadership to Technology Centers 1700 and 2800, the Office of Application Processing and Systems Administration, the Office of Patent Financial Management, the Project Management Office, and the Office of Patent Workforce Management.
Prior to his current role, he served as an acting Deputy Commissioner for Patents with responsibility for Technology Centers 1700 and 2800, information technology initiatives, application processing, application filing, contracts, and patent publications.
Mr. Vidovich began his USPTO career as a patent examiner and later became a Supervisory Patent Examiner. He was promoted to the Senior Executive Service in 2012 as a Director in Technology Center 3600. He subsequently served as Associate Commissioner for the Office of Patent Quality, Associate Commissioner for the Office of Patent Information Management, and Assistant Commissioner for Patents, with oversight of the Office of Information Technology for Patents, the Office of Application Processing for Patents, and the Office of Application Processing and Systems Administration.
Mr. Vidovich earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
