Learn online how examiners approach unity of invention

Want to be briefed on recent examination practice and procedure guidance on Unity of Invention? Attend an interactive Virtual Instructor Led Training (vILT) course featuring recent training delivered to experienced USPTO examiners. The USPTO is applying for CLE credit in Virginia for this course. Get ready to register on October 15, 2019.

Unity of Invention covers restriction practice using the unity of invention analysis for national stage applications submitted under 35 U.S.C. 371.  Topics covered include determining when the unity of invention restriction analysis is to be used to formulate a restriction, a priori and a posteriori unity of invention analyses, reasonableness considerations, election of species, and rejoinder practice.

The registration will open from October 15, 2019 to November 17, 2019.
