Central Reexamination Unit discussion: Reexamination, reissue, and supplemental examination

Join the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on Wednesday, September 28 from 1-3 p.m. ET, for a discussion and explanation of the various post grant patent proceedings available to both U.S. patent holders and third parties which are handled by the Central Reexamination Unit (CRU).

Topics include:

  • Ex parte reexamination
  • Reissue applications
  • Supplemental examination

The discussion will also include an overview of each of the three proceedings, including statutory and regulatory requirements, the benefits and limitations of each proceeding, and the interplay between these proceedings and the American Invents Acts (AIA) post grant trial proceedings.
