Quarterly series introducing intellectual property beginning this week in Spanish and English

Are you curious about intellectual property (IP) and want to learn more? This free United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) virtual series, Introduction to intellectual property, is offered quarterly and begins again with Intellectual property fundamentals on August 30 at 2 p.m. ET.

In addition to the series in English, there is a corresponding series in Spanish, Introducción a la propiedad intelectual. The first event in this language series, Fundamentos de la propiedad intelectual, is also on August 30 at noon ET.

This series offers entrepreneurs and businesses an overview of helpful resources for inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs. 

The first session will cover:

• Information about the USPTO
• Types of IP: patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets
• Why innovators and entrepreneurs should protect their IP
• How to protect your IP
