The Biotechnology Chemical Pharmaceutical Customer Partnership is designed and developed to be informal face-to-face meetings with small groups of biotech/chemical/pharmaceutical patent customers to gain their insights as to how well U.S. Patent and Trademark Office initiatives are working and how these initiatives affect our customers. The most recent quarterly meeting for the Biotech Chemical Pharmaceutical Customer Partnership meeting was held on November 15, 2001 at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The Biotechnology Chemical Pharmaceutical Customer Partnership is designed and developed to be informal face-to-face meetings with small groups of biotech/chemical/pharmaceutical patent customers to gain their insights as to how well U.S. Patent and Trademark Office initiatives are working and how these initiatives affect our customers. During these meetings, individual customer participants provide TC 1600 with general commentary, suggestions, raw data and feedback which is important to the Technology Center's efforts to continuously improve the quality of biotech patent products and services. TC 1600 also informs its customers of PTO goals, issues, resources and processes and seeks to identify better ways of working with its customers to meet mutual needs. These customer partnership groups are formed with full recognition of the USPTO's responsibility under the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), and that these customer partnership groups are not established as FACA compliant committees.
