Software tools are publicly available for creating and editing sequence listings in both WIPO ST.25 and ST.26 formats.
PatentIn is a free software program designed to assist an applicant in preparing sequence listings in ST.25 format. Download the latest version of PatentIn 3.5.1 and the user manual.
Checker is a free software program that allows applicants to validate a sequence listing text file in ST.25 format against a subset of the sequence rules. Download the latest version of Checker 4.4.6 and the user manual.
WIPO Sequence is a free software program designed to assist an applicant in preparing sequence listings in ST.26 format. Download WIPO Sequence version 2.0.0 and the User Manual.
Important note: Sequence listings created with the older WIPO Sequence 1.1.0 beta version will not be compliant with Standard ST.26. These sequence listings should be regenerated using WIPO Sequence 2.0.0 before filing as part of a U.S. or international patent application. The functionality of, and updates to, WIPO Sequence are outside the USPTO’s control.
