Regional Organizations
OPIA regional teams, including the China team, are made up of representatives from the substantive policy teams to address intellectual property policy around the world. They engage with various international forum on intellectual property issues covering a particular region, including:

The IP Attaché Program works closely with OPIA regional teams to improve intellectual property systems internationally for the benefit of U.S. stakeholders.
OPIA consults with foreign governments, international organizations, and other U.S. government agencies on the substantive technical analysis of IP rights enforcement laws, legal and judicial regimes, civil and criminal procedures, border measures, and administrative regulations relating to the enforcement of IP laws. They also support the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the Department of State, and other U.S. government agencies in international negotiations and consultations, including the development of the Special 301 Report.
