Mail to Registered Practitioners Returned to OED Director Undelivered

On June 10-11, 2009, the Office of Enrollment and Discipline (OED) mailed login and password information to each registered practitioner to the last address of record each practitioner provided to the Director of Enrollment and Discipline (OED Director).  Subsequently, mail addressed to more than one thousand practitioners was returned to OED.  The Post Office indicated on some of the returned mail that the forwarding address had expired or that the practitioner was no longer at that address.  Other mail was marked only “return to sender.”  Listed below in alphabetical order is the name and last address of record for each practitioner for whom the mail was returned.

Separate from any notice of address change filed in individual patent applications, registered practitioners are required to notify the OED Director in writing of any changes to their address or telephone number within thirty days of the date of the change.  See 37 CFR 11.11(a).   

If your name is listed below you may not receive future mailings from OED.  There is only one way to change your address and telephone number.  Please complete, sign and return to OED the Change of Address form available at http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/dcom/olia/oed/addchangefrm.pdf.  The change of address must be signed by you, not a third party.  Following receipt of the completed Change of Address form, OED will mail login and password information to you at the address furnished in the Change of Address form. The login and password provide each practitioner with the ability to easily manage their address information electronically.  They also improve the accuracy and currency of the address and telephone number made available to the public regarding each practitioner.  Electronic changes of address are instantly updated and avoid the inconveniences of completing and mailing forms, as well as waiting for the information to be poSte.d. 

Those practitioners who received their login and password have two ways to change their address and telephone number.  They may change the information instantly on line at Registered Practitioner Sign In at http://www.uspto.gov/ip/boards/oed/practitioner/changeinfo.jsp.  Read more about this feature at http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/dcom/olia/oed/aboutaddress.htm.  Alternatively, they may complete, sign and file a Change of Address form.

Practitioners on the list who no longer desire to remain registered should send a letter to OED requesting removal of their name from the roster.
