Lack of Response to January 2012 Survey by Registered Practitioners

LACK OF RESPONSE TO SURVEY BY REGISTERED PRACTITIONERS IN PATENT CASES

Pursuant to 37 C.F.R. § 10.11, the Office of Enrollment and Discipline (OED) conducted a survey of the active registered practitioners whose registrations numbers are below 25,000. The purpose of the survey, begun on January 31, 2012, was to ascertain whether these practitioners wish to remain on the register. OED received numerous responses. Most practitioners responding to the survey provided information that enabled OED to confirm and update records regarding the responding practitioner's address and telephone number. Other practitioners requested removal of their names from the register of attorneys and agents.

As of April 4, 2012, OED did not receive any response or communication from over 1200 practitioners. Their names and the last business addresses they provided to the Director of Enrollment and Discipline are listed below. They are given until May 5, 2012 to respond and provide the requested information. They are requested to complete and return a Data Sheet on or before May 5, 2012. Thereafter, the names of practitioners on the list below who fail to reply and give the requested information will be removed from the register, and the names of individuals so removed will be published in the Official Gazette. Upon payment of the fee set forth in 37 CFR § 1.21(a)(9)(ii), the name of any individual so removed may be reinstated on the register as may be appropriate.
