The WIPO Diplomatic Conference on Certain Copyright and Neighboring Rights Questions will take place in Geneva from December 2 to 20, 1996.
The Diplomatic Conference will consist of representatives of the 157 member States of WIPO and the European Community and, as observers, representatives of States members of the United Nations not members of WIPO, as well as of more than 100 interested intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations.
The task of the Diplomatic Conference will be to adopt three new multilateral Treaties, the drafts of which are summarized in the Annexes.
The summaries are unofficial and have no legal significance.
The official texts of the draft Treaties can be obtained free of charge from WIPO in English, Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.
