Fee Payment Processing Maintenance

Due to system maintenance on USPTO financial systems, we will be unable to accept fee payments from 12 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 8 ET. 

During the maintenance period, the following storefronts will be impacted:

  • Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System (P-TACTS)
  • Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront (FPNG)
  • Financial Manager System 
  • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)

If you are unable to wait until the maintenance has concluded to pay a fee, the following alternative options are available:

Support for the online fee payment management system, and USPTO.gov accounts, is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET (except federal holidays).

P-TACTS Customers: If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB-E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the PTAB-E2E FAQ page: PTAB E2E frequently asked questions and see A2 for information concerning your America Invents Act (AIA) petition filing and/or document filing using PTAB-E2E alternative filing methods.

Publication Site for Issued and Published Sequences (PSIPS) Upgrade

The USPTO will upgrade the PSIPS systems to version 2.9.7. beginning at 11:59 p.m., Thursday, December 8 and ending at 5 a.m., Friday, December 9 ET. 

PSIPS (https://sequencedata.uspto.gov/) will be unavailable during the upgrade.
