The Office of Patent Resources and Planning provides representation and direction in the areas of patent planning, analysis, process and performance improvement, and resource management. The office leads the coordination of Patents’ long-term strategic plan, managing its information and financial resources, and improving its performance evaluation methods and measures. The office also assists the Commissioner for Patents and Deputy Commissioner for Patent Administration in defining and achieving the Patents Organization’s long-term goals, making resource allocation choices, assessing programmatic and organizational progress and results, and communicating with stakeholders about the Patents Organization’s mission, strategic direction, and performance.
The office is comprised of three offices: Office of Patent Financial Management, Office of Patent Workforce Management, and Office of Patent Planning and Data Analysis.
