The Receipts Accounting Division is responsible for deposit accounts, patent maintenance fees, and refunds as follows:
- Administers and monitors USPTO deposit accounts;
- Processes payments and requests for patent maintenance fees;
- Coordinates and monitors most requests for refunds; and
- Responds to a wide variety of customer inquiries.
