Meet members of the next generation of innovators and see their amazing work at the free Collegiate Inventors Competition (CIC) Expo at USPTO headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. CIC finalists will showcase their inventions and interact with thousands of USPTO examiners, sponsors, media, and the public.

The CIC is an annual competition sponsored by the National Inventors Hall of Fame (NIHF) in partnership with the USPTO. It rewards innovation, discovery, and research by college and university students. The 2019 finalists provide a glimpse into the future of American innovation and emerging technological trends. Their inventions represent a wide variety of industries including medical devices, mechanical engineering, and materials science.
