How do I submit a signed copy of my Request form when I electronically file my International Application in the US Receiving Office using the PCT-EASY mode of PCT-SAFE and EFS-Web?
On November 24, 2006, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) released a version of the PCT-SAFE client software (version 3.51.015.190) that allows users to create and electronically sign using an S-signature the PCT Request Form and the Declaration of Inventorship for the purposes of filing via EFS-Web with RO/US. It is available for download at the WIPO website:
A user guide for creating a PCT-EASY .zip file can be found at the following website:
Please click on the following link for a guide to using PCT EASY for filing with USPTO via EFS-WEB :
Note: After applicant clicks on the “SIGN” button, a PDF image of the request will appear. Applicant can not sign directly on the PDF form. Instead, the applicant will need to click on the "CONTINUE" button at the bottom of the page. A box will open up that will allow the signature to be affixed to the request form. If applicant leaves out the required forward slashes, the program will provide them. Please contact the World Intellectual Property Organization at www.wipo.org for any other questions about PCT-EASY.
