This free, in-person and online program, was held on the margins of the August meeting of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) IP Experts Group in Seattle, Washington, was an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss their priorities and concerns regarding the protection and enforcement of their IP rights overseas. Topics included: Current IP developments at APEC The USPTO’s international IP initiatives and priorities Stakeholder perspectives on IP issues overseas, with panel discussions featuring representatives from various stakeholder groups Question-and-answer sessions followed the stakeholder panels. Intellectual property (IP) experts and senior officials from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) discussed the latest developments in the USPTO's international engagements in multilateral and bilateral forums on IP, and how they affect the interests of U.S. IP stakeholders doing business abroad.
