(94) Upcoming Changes to the
Mailing of Monthly Deposit Account Statements

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) currently mails monthly
paper deposit account statements to all holders of active deposit accounts.
The purpose of this notice is to announce that in the future the USPTO will
not mail paper deposit account statements in certain situations. However,
the USPTO will continue to make current and past deposit account statements
available to all holders of active deposit accounts over the Internet at
www.uspto.gov. In the upcoming months, flyers will be inserted with monthly
paper statements notifying deposit account holders that in the following
situations deposit account statements will be available exclusively over
the Internet, and not mailed.

   1. Account holder elects to discontinue paper statements. Account
holders will have the option to discontinue receiving paper statements by
mail. By obtaining the statements exclusively over the USPTO Internet at
www.uspto.gov, account holders will be able to reduce paper clutter.

   2. No deposit account activity to report. When there is no transaction
processed to an active deposit account in a given month (i.e., no charges
and no deposits), the USPTO will not mail a paper statement to the account
holder for that particular month.

   3. Paper statements returned by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). Account
holders are responsible for maintaining their deposit accounts, including
notifying the Deposit Account Branch of changes to the mailing address. In
the event any mailed paper statement is returned by the USPS as
undeliverable, the Deposit Account Branch will make a good faith effort to
obtain the correct mailing address. If unsuccessful, mailing of paper
deposit account statements will be discontinued.

Questions regarding deposit accounts should be directed to the Deposit
Account Branch at (571) 272-6500. Questions regarding this notice should be
forwarded to Matthew Lee, Director of the Receipts Accounting Division,
Office of Finance, by e-mail at matthew.lee@uspto.gov or by fax at (571)
273-6500 marked to the attention of Matthew Lee.
