(340) New Web System for Ordering Certified Copies of
                     Patent and Trademark Documents

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is implementing a
new web system, the Certified Copy Center (CCC) Storefront, for USPTO
customers to order certified copies of patent and trademark documents. The
USPTO designed the CCC Storefront to improve the customer experience when
ordering certified copies. Customers will be able to use the CCC Storefront
to order certified copies of documents from both published and unpublished
patent applications, as well as certified copies of trademark documents.
The USPTO plans to issue a beta version of the CCC Storefront in March
2019, followed by the full production release of the CCC Storefront in
April 2019. Access to the CCC Storefront will be provided at the MyUSPTO
log in link (https://my.uspto.gov). Please monitor www.uspto.gov for
further information.

Currently, USPTO customers use the Order Entry Management System (OEMS)
available at
http://ebiz1.uspto.gov/vision-service/ShoppingCart_P/ShowHomePage to order
certified copies of documents from published patent applications and
certified copies of trademark documents. Due to issues of entitlement
verification, certified copies of documents from unpublished patent
applications, including unpublished patent applications as filed and
unpublished patent file wrappers, currently must be ordered through the
Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (PAIR) system. The CCC
Storefront will provide a one-stop shop solution for certified copies of
documents from both published and unpublished patent applications by
including a mechanism for customers to demonstrate their authority to
access unpublished patent documents. Once the CCC Storefront goes into full
production, the USPTO plans to discontinue the availability of the OEMS.
The ability of customers to view, download, and print uncertified copies of
many patent and trademark documents via the PAIR and Trademark Status and
Document Retrieval (TSDR) databases will not be impacted by the transition
from the OEMS to the CCC Storefront.

Customers will need to have a USPTO.gov account to access the CCC
Storefront. Customers who do not currently have a USPTO.gov account should
take steps now to obtain an account by visiting
https://www.uspto.gov/AuthenticationChange and following the instructions
under the "Create a USPTO.gov Account" section. If you need assistance
creating your USPTO.gov account, please call the USPTO Contact Center (UCC)
at 800-786-9199.
