1. A method implemented in a first proximity services (ProSe) function serving a discoverer user equipment (UE), the method
comprising:
receiving, from the discoverer UE, a first discovery request message including a ProSe application identifier and an indication
indicating Model B discovery;
transmitting, to a second ProSe function configured to serve a discoveree UE, a second discovery request message requesting
a ProSe application code corresponding to the ProSe application identifier;
determining that no valid ProSe application code corresponding to the ProSe application identifier is available based on any
of:
not receiving a response to the second discovery request message;
not receiving any valid ProSe application code corresponding to the ProSe application identifier in response to the second
discovery request message; and
receiving, in response to the second discovery request message, an indication indicating that no valid ProSe application code
corresponding to the ProSe application identifier is available; and
transmitting, to the discoverer UE, a reject-type discovery response message.
