1. A method performed by a mobile device, the operations comprising:
obtaining information indicating that the mobile device is to operate in an inconspicuous mode of operation at a specified time, wherein during the inconspicuous mode of operation a reduced set of information is to be presented on a home screen of a display of the mobile device relative to a set of information presented on the home screen of the display of the mobile device in a normal mode of operation; and
in response to determining that a current time corresponds to the specified time at which the mobile device is to operate in the inconspicuous mode of operation, switching from the normal mode of operation to the inconspicuous mode of operation.
