1. A quadrature receiver for a received signal, the quadrature receiver comprising:
a frequency synthesizer (401) for generating a synthesized frequency signal;
a first quadrature modulator (403) having an input of the synthesized frequency signal from the frequency synthesizer (401) and outputting a 0° local oscillator signal;
a second quadrature modulator (405) having an input of the synthesized frequency signal from the frequency synthesizer (401) and outputting a 90° local oscillator signal;
a first mixer (561) for mixing the received signal with the 0° local oscillator signal from the first quadrature modulator (403);
a second mixer (563) for mixing the received signal with the 90° local oscillator signal from the first quadrature modulator (405);
a first converter (571) for demodulating an output from the first mixer (561); and
a second converter (575) for demodulating an output from the second mixer (563).
