1. A system for monitoring an athletic performance, comprising:
an input system for: receiving foot launch input data and foot strike input data from a foot sensor system;
a first sensor configured to be worn by a user;
a processor system programmed and adapted to:
identify a first set of timestamps including temporally adjacent foot launch and foot strike events;
determine if at least timestamp information associated with the first set of timestamps corresponds to one of a predetermined set of activity templates;
determine a duration of time wherein the first sensor is within a threshold proximity to a piece of athletic equipment;
determine a first flight time associated with the first set of timestamps based on an activity template determined to be associated with at least the timestamp information;
determine whether the first flight time exceeds a predetermined threshold value associated with the determined activity template, wherein each activity template has a different threshold;
in response to determining whether the first flight time exceeds the predetermined threshold value, utilizing data obtained from a first image capturing device to adjust the first flight time based on the duration of time wherein the first sensor is within a threshold proximity to a piece of athletic equipment;
store the adjusted first flight time at a memory by the determined activity template; and
an output system for outputting output data including information containing or derived from the adjusted first flight time.
