1. A braided dual-sided compression packing seal, wherein a longitudinal axis extends through the center of the compression packing seal along a length of the compression packing seal, the compression packing seal comprising at least a first material of a first material type and a second material of a second material type different than the first material type,
wherein the first material is braided with the second material to form the compression packing seal,
wherein the first material and the second material are disposed relative to each other such that, in cross-section, the compression packing seal has an asymmetrical configuration relative to a first axis that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and is substantially perpendicular to a side of the compression packing seal, and
wherein, as a result of the braiding, the first material is disposed substantially completely along one side of the compression packing seal and the second material is disposed substantially completely along the other side of the compression packing seal,
wherein the first material is braided with the second material using an interbraid pattern.
