1. A resin emulsion composition, comprising at least a resin, water and at least a non-ionic surfactant of formula I:
R1-(A1O)n-(A2O)x-(A3O)y—R2  (I)
wherein
R1 is a saturated or unsaturated carbon chain containing 1-22 carbon atoms;
A1O is an alkylene oxide homopolymer or block or random copolymer;
A2O is an alkylene oxide block or random copolymer having a composition different than A1O and A3O;
A3O is an alkylene oxide homopolymer or block or random copolymer;
x is an integer ranging from 1 to 30;
n is an integer ranging from 1 to 100;
y is an integer ranging from 0 to 100; and
R2 is hydrogen or a saturated or unsaturated carbon chain containing 1-22 carbon atoms;
wherein said resin emulsion composition is obtained by a phase inversion emulsification process involving the inversion of phases in an organic phase concentration from 30 to 90%.
