|1. A method for inactivation of Infectious Pancreatic Necrosis Virus (IPNV) comprising:
illuminating a liquid containing IPNV with a ultraviolet (UV) light emitted from a medium pressure mercury UV lamp tuned to optimize IPNV inactivation,
wherein the UV light being substantially in a wavelength range between 260 and 400 nm and the UV lamp exhibits a pressure greater than 1.6 bar.
