|1. A film-coating apparatus for coating a food with a coating material, comprising:
a coating chamber within the housing, the coating chamber configured to receive the coating material; and
a circulating belt including a plurality of sections with a plurality of cross struts extending from a first side of the circulating belt to a second side of the circulating belt and a plurality of gas ports configured to accelerate solidification of the coating material, the sections partially forming walls of the coating chamber and providing a bearing surface for the food,
wherein each gas port extends continuously between two adjacent cross struts over an entire width of the coating chamber from the first side of the circulating belt to the second side of the circulating belt.
