As someone who has filed for two trademarks in the past and is planning to file for their renewals later this year, I feel very favorably about this proposed change that will allow examiners to request additional info when necessary. From my point of view I would feel more secure if I were to be asked to submit further proof instead of having my application dismissed because of an issue with the specimens I submitted. It's a pretty scary thing to file for a mark or a renewal without legal help, and if I am understanding this proposed change correctly, it can only benefit those of us who are not experts in the field.  Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
