Outgoing Email Service Interruption

The USPTO is currently experiencing a partial outgoing email service interruption.  Agency email may be delayed or not delivered at all to email addresses with the following Microsoft-hosted email domains: 

  • Outlook.com
  • Hotmail.com
  • MSN.com
  • Live.com

We are working to restore service as quickly as possible.  At this time, we don’t know when services will be fully restored but additional information will be posted as soon as it’s available.

Alternatives for Trademark Customers

If your deadline is today and this technical issue is preventing you from filing your documents using TEAS or TEASi, you should fax your documents to the Petitions Office using the fax cover sheet at 571-273-8950. Detailed instructions on faxing documents are available on our outages page. Send any questions to TEAS@uspto.gov.  

For TTAB Customers: 

If your deadline is today and the document cannot be filed electronically, you must use an alternative method of filing. Please visit the Outage Page for information concerning Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) alternative filing methods. If you have any questions, contact the TTAB Assistance Center during normal business hours by telephone at 571-272-8500 or email at TTABInfo@uspto.gov
