USPTO’s new Public Engagement Partnership meeting series shares valuable patent system insights

To increase engagement with the public, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is announcing a new Public Engagement Partnership meeting series. These meetings will offer education on patent system basics and connect the public with the USPTO to exchange ideas, experiences, and insights related to the patent process.

The USPTO will host the first public meeting of the Public Engagement Partnership series virtually and in person at USPTO headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, on March 1, 2024, from 1-5 p.m. ET.

USPTO subject matter experts will provide foundational education about the patent system and the agency’s practices and policies. Representatives from the public interest community and advocacy groups will also discuss their experiences with the patent system.

This event is free and open to the public. If you are an interested member of the public and belong to an advocacy group, a public interest-focused nonprofit, academia, or civil society, register today to attend in person or virtually.
