USPTO offers free monthly Education Clinic staffed by former PTAB judges to answer questions about PTAB proceedings
The PTAB Education Clinic is here to assist you if you’ve received a final rejection of your patent application and are thinking of filing an appeal to the PTAB, if someone has challenged claims in your issued patent, or if you are considering challenging claims in an issued patent.
Former PTAB judges who are members of the American Association of Patent Judges will answer questions and provide guidance on PTAB proceedings including appeals to the PTAB regarding examiner rejections of patent applications (called “ex-parte appeals”) and PTAB reviews of challenges to issued patent claims (called “America Invents Act proceedings” or “AIA proceedings”).
The PTAB Education Clinic is free to the public, but an appointment request is required. After your request is submitted, we will notify you by email regarding your appointment request.
The next clinic will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 4-5 p.m. ET.
