Register today for the March 26 USPTO China IP Road Show in Chicago
Register today to attend the United States Patent and Trademark Office's China IP Road Show on Tuesday, March 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT at Malcolm X College in Chicago.
This free, in-person event will include remarks by U.S. Representatives Danny K. Davis and Raja Krishnamoorthi, and feature panels discussing how U.S. rights holders—especially small and medium-sized businesses—can protect and enforce their intellectual property (IP) in China and the United States.
The full agenda is online. Topics will include:
- What businesses need to know about protecting all types of IP in China
- IP developments in China: Challenges and opportunities in a shifting IP environment
- Enforcing IP rights, in both China and the United States, against infringement originating in China
- U.S. export controls and their effects on U.S. rights holders
- U.S. government resources for U.S. entities
- Rewards and challenges of doing business in China: The Illinois experience
Continuing legal education (CLE) credit for Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin attorneys may be available to attendees of this program, pending approval by the relevant state authorities.
There is no charge to attend, but advance registration is required.
This event has been organized in cooperation with the U.S Commercial Service Chicago, the Illinois District Export Council, Malcolm X College, and the Offices of U.S. Representatives Danny K. Davis and Raja Krishnamoorthi.
