Looking for fun, hands-on activities for the whole family this Thanksgiving season? Go beyond your typical holiday meal prep by bringing invention and intellectual property into the kitchen! 

The USPTO teamed up with the Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention to create a series of four do-it-yourself videos that explore the making of a Thanksgiving meal through the lens of science and innovation. Two experts—Reggie from the USPTO and Patty from the Cade Museum— will guide you through invention experiments that use common kitchen tools and ingredients you likely already have in your pantry. Learn about the science behind pop-up cook timers, non-Newtonian fluids, hydrophobic substances, and more while exploring some of the unexpected ways intellectual property appears in kitchens everywhere.

Three videos are already available on the USPTO's YouTube channel, with one more set to be released next week in time for Thanksgiving:
