March 26: The USPTO’s China IP Road Show comes to Chicago, Illinois

This in-person program will focus on strategies for protecting and enforcing intellectual property in China and the United States.

Join us for a free, all-day program on Tuesday, March 26, where experts from the U.S. government, intellectual property (IP) attorneys, and Chicago-area businesspeople will share their insights on how U.S. rights holders can protect and enforce their IP in both China and the United States.

Topics will include:

  • What businesses need to know about protecting all types of IP in China
  • IP developments in China: Challenges and opportunities in a shifting IP environment
  • Enforcing IP rights, in both China and the United States, against infringement originating in China
  • U.S. government resources for American companies
  • IP and China: The Illinois experience, featuring representatives from a variety of businesses in the Chicago area

This program will give Illinois business owners who are considering doing business in or with China basic knowledge to develop an IP strategy.

Please note that this is an in-person program; it will not be webcast. It will take place Tuesday, March 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT at Malcolm X College in downtown Chicago.

Continuing legal education (CLE) credit for Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin attorneys may be available to attendees of this program, pending approval by the relevant state authorities.

For more information and to register, visit the event page on the USPTO website. There is no charge to attend, but advance registration is required.

This program is one of a series of China IP Road Shows that we conduct across the country. For more information, visit the China IP Road Show homepage.
