Forced to find work at a local cellphone shop after losing his college scholarship, company founder Akeem Shannon leveraged the sales skills he learned there and at two Fortune 500 companies to pursue his dream of entrepreneurship. He turned setbacks into opportunities, eventually scaling his company from a single mall kiosk to distribution in thousands of stores.
