Congratulations to the regional winners of the 2024 National Patent Application Drafting Competition
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), with the support of several collegiate law school programs and the USPTO's regional offices, hosted five virtual regional rounds of the National Patent Application Drafting Competition (NPADC) on March 9. Five regional finalists from 58 teams will compete at the national competition at the USPTO headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, on April 12.
Congratulations and good luck to all of the 2024 NPADC regional finalists! Finalists from each regional round (region in parenthesis) include:
- George Washington University Law School (Eastern Region)
- University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (Midwest Region)
- University of Missouri-Kansas City (Rocky Mountain Region)
- University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Silicon Valley Region)
- Emory University School of Law (Texas Region)
The competition provides law students and students studying patent law the opportunity to develop patent prosecution skills by applying legal principles to a hypothetical invention scenario.
