If you're interested in leveraging your image and influence to monetize your personal brand, join us in person or online on Thursday, October 10, for the kick-off event in a new Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) series for student-athletes.
This first event is in collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU) and will take place virtually and in person at ASU Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in Phoenix, Arizona.
The speaker lineup includes USPTO, industry, academic, and legal experts and a fireside chat with 2024 Team USA Olympian Freddie Crittendon and the USPTO's Deputy Director Derrick Brent. The event sessions will cover:
- Personal experiences and testimonials regarding NIL
- NIL basics
- How to protect NIL rights and negotiate NIL agreements
- Trademark basics for NIL
You can find the full agenda and speaker lineup on our event page.
This hybrid event will occur from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. PT with a lunch break. Then, there will be a networking reception for in-person attendees from 3-5 p.m. PT.
You can email Gerard.Taylor@uspto.gov with questions about the event.
