This week: Learn the basics of design patents and how they can maximize your business value

Register now to join the first session of the 2023 Design Webinar Series: Implementing design patents into a business strategy, hosted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office's (USPTO) Silicon Valley Regional Office and Rocky Mountain Regional Office. Join this virtual event on June 28 from 1-2:30 p.m. ET.

In the first session, we will focus on design patents basics, including using the new search tool, and how design patents examination, strategy, and scope differ from utility patents. Additionally, you'll hear from industry experts on approaches to maximize business value with design patents, and how to integrate design patents into a portfolio that includes utility patents, copyrights, and trademarks.

Part two of this year's series, a discussion on leveraging design patents and the patent application process, will be hosted by the USPTO's Texas Regional Office and Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional Office on July 12. 

Part three, a focus on design patent-related updates, caselaw, and issues, will be hosted by the USPTO's Eastern Regional Outreach Office on August 9.
