Reminder: Submit applications for the Patents for Humanity Green Energy awards by June 1

The deadline for the United States Patent and Trademark Office's (USPTO) Patents for Humanity Green Energy category awards competition is fast approaching: applications must be submitted by Thursday, June 1, 2023.

This expansion of the USPTO's Patents for Humanity Awards Program is focused on green energy production technologies that are the subject of a U.S. utility patent or pending U.S. utility patent. All technologies addressing green energy—including wind, solar, green hydrogen, hydropower, geothermal, and biofuels technologies—are eligible for an award.

Winners will receive public recognition at an awards ceremony sponsored by the USPTO and a certificate that grants them accelerated USPTO processing for one eligible matter.
