Increase in Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) fees
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) fee schedule was updated with the following changes, effective March 1:
PCT fees to foreign offices
- 1701: International filing fee (first 30 pages, filed electronically without ePCT or PCT-EASY .zip file) — fee increase from $1,245 to $1,327
- 1710: International filing fee (first 30 pages, filed electronically with ePCT or PCT-EASY .zip file) — fee increase from $1,144 to $1,219
- 1702: International filing fee (first 30 pages) — fee increase from $1,346 to $1,435
- 1703: Supplemental fee (for each page over 30) — fee increase from $15 to $16
- 1715: International search, Israel Patent Office (ILPO) as International Searching Authority (ISA) — fee increase from $1,014 to $1,075
- 1717: International search, Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) as ISA — fee increase from $1,561 to $1,664
- 1716: International search, Japan Patent Office (JPO) as ISA — fee increase from $1,167 to $1,277
- 1705: Handling fee increase from $202 to $216
- 1706: Handling fee 90 percent reduction, if applicant meets criteria specified on the WIPO table — otherwise, fee increase from $20.20 to $21.60
