Help us serve America’s innovators! Public Advisory Committee nominations due July 3

A reminder that we’re looking for dedicated professionals to serve as members on our Public Advisory Committees (PACs) for patent and trademark operations. Whether it’s providing feedback on proposed policies, participating in Patent Public Advisory Committee (PPAC) or Trademark Public Advisory Committee (TPAC) meetings, or engaging with USPTO leadership to discuss key issues, we encourage all those interested or who know of an interested individual to submit a nomination online via the PPAC nomination form for PPAC or the TPAC nomination form for TPAC. Nominations are due July 3, so submit your nomination today!

PAC members represent the diverse interests of the public and USPTO stakeholders. Each newly appointed PAC member will serve for a three-year term that begins on December 1, 2023, and ends on December 1, 2026. As required by the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act of 1999 that established the PACs, members will receive compensation for each day (including travel time) they attend meetings or engage in the business of their PAC. Members can serve remotely.

The corresponding Federal Register Notice seeking PAC nominations published May 12, 2023, and can be found here. Read our press release for additional information.
