Registering trademarks for newer technologies: NFTs, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and virtual goods

Do you want to learn more about non-fungible tokens (NFTs), blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and virtual goods? Are you filing trademark applications involving goods and services related to these increasingly common technologies?

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will host a free training webinar for experienced practitioners on December 13, from 2-3:30 p.m. ET. We'll discuss the nuts and bolts of these technologies and how to avoid common mistakes during the trademark registration process.

The webinar will also include:

  • Examples of acceptable identifications of goods and services
  • A discussion of appropriate specimens
  • The relatedness of real and virtual goods when determining likelihood of confusion

Information about accessibility accommodations, speakers, submitting questions, and continuing legal education (CLE) can be found on the event registration page.
