Subject: Response to request for comments on Alice Guidelines

This is a response to the invitation for public comments on the Alice Guideline 
Memorandum of June 25.

The Guidelines appear appropriate, except that additional text is recommended.  
In Part 2 of the Guidelines, after the last bullet point, ³Requiring no moreŠ.² 
change the period to a comma and add ‹whether the claim is cast as a method 
implemented on a computer, a computer system, computer readable media, or hardware 
configured to perform specific computer functions that are generic.‹

Support for this addition is in Part C of the Court¹s opinion.
