The Deputy Commissioner for Patent Quality is pleased to announce the ninth Patent Quality Chat in the 2016 webinar series on Tuesday, August 9 from noon to 1 pm ET on The Post-Prosecution Pilot:  A New After Final Collaboration Program. Our speakers will be on hand to discuss the details of our new pilot program recently announced in the Federal Register.  The Post-Prosecution Pilot (P3) Program is designed to incorporate effective features of two current programs, (1) the After Final Consideration Pilot (AFC) 2.0 program and (2) the Pre-Appeal Brief Conference Pilot program.  Moreover, the P3 Program adds new, requested features, such as providing applicants an opportunity to present arguments to a panel at a conference.  The P3 Program is an important step towards improving Excellence in Customer Service (Pillar 3) of the Enhanced Patent Quality Initiative (EPQI). We look forward to hearing your feedback.
