The Deputy Commissioner for Patent Quality is pleased to announce the eighth Patent Quality Chat in the 2016 webinar series on Tuesday, July 12 from noon to 1 pm ET on Opportunities for Examiner Interviews:  First Action Interview Pilot and General Practice. Our speakers will be on hand to discuss some of USPTO’s efforts to improve customer service through a robust interview process with examiners.  The Full First Action Interview Pilot has been productive for over 5 years; we would like to share some data with you and encourage your participation in the program.  Further, opportunities in general interview practice have recently expanded to include an Automated Interview Request (AIR) form and more help for using video conferencing.  We look forward to hearing your feedback.

Patent Quality Chat is a monthly, lunchtime webinar series designed to provide information on patent quality topics and gather your input. Webinar participants are encouraged to join the discussion during the event by emailing PatentQualityEventParticipationBox@uspto.gov. Always on the second Tuesday of each month, set a recurring meeting on your calendar to join us!

Each Patent Quality Chat webinar includes a speaker(s) presentation (approximately 20-30 minutes) and time for questions and comments from the virtual audience. All Patent Quality Chats are free and open to all; no registration is required, No CLE credit will be available through the USPTO. Video recordings and any presentation materials from the Patent Quality Chats are posted on our Patent Quality Chat website after an event has concluded.
